Resource Library

The Community Access Centre is home to a local resource library with information on a wide range of topics. Drop in to check out our resources during our regular Hours of Operation.

Resources Include:

  • Community Information - drop in to find out information about our community including local resources, businesses, attractions, history, programs, and much more!
  • Legal Resources - including information on the justice system, family legal topics, financial legal topics, and many others.
  • General Health Resources - including information on a variety of health conditions, smoking and anti-smoking information, general wellness, healthy eating, active living and much more.
  • Family Resources - information for seniors, parents, children and youth including safety, internet safety, healthy eating, active living, dental care, parenting, and many other topics.
  • Education Resources - information about educational opportunities close to home and across the province including Great Plains Regional College, SIAST, University of Saskatchewan, University of Regina, and many others.
  • Pre-Employment Resources - we keep a local job bank with advertisements for jobs in Martensville and the surrounding area. We also have information on writing resumes, cover letters, job searching, career planning, interviews and essential skills for the workplace. We have information for both employers and job seekers!

Business Resources

The Community Access Centre has a number of opportunities for businesses to connect with our community and each other. These include:

  • Pre-Employment Centre - we are home to an information and resource centre for people seeking jobs and educational opportunities. We can also assist job seekers in developing personal portfolios to highlight their individual skills and experience.
  • Local Job Bank - is your business hiring? We maintain a local job bank for employment opportunities in Martensville and the surrounding area. We can also help you find other ways to advertise your employment opportunities and seek out employees.
  • Essential Skills Training - in partnership with Great Plains Regional College and our local schools, we aim to connect businesses and employees with opportunities to develop skills in communication, problem solving, customer service and other topics relevant to your business!
  • Martensville Business Association - planning is underway to re-develop the Martensville Business Association. This is an opportunity for business owners to connect with other businesses, share, and gain new knowledge.
  • Annual Regional Career/Job Fair - each year we host a regional career & job fair to provide adults and youth in Martensville and the surrounding area with information about education, career and employment opportunities. We are particularly interested in providing information for both traditional and unique opportunities and interests.

We are currently creating a database of volunteers in the community. Registering as a volunteer is a great way to get involved in your community.
