The vision of the Martensville Community Access Centre is to be recognized
as an integral access point that connects people, businesses, organizations and
services within our community and strengthens our community atmosphere. We
encourage lifelong learning, healthy living, and full participation for all
members of our community.

live right here in her community.
We also have program staff and volunteers that facilitate specific programs at
the Community Access Centre, including the Ah-Ha! Homework Club, Baby Babble,
Toddler Talk, Youth Initiatives Project and Rhyme Thyme.
The Community Access Centre is overseen by a volunteer board that includes
representation from local community members.
The current members of our board are:

We evolved from two grants from the Ministry of Education:
The Expression of Interest grant paid for the development of the
Martensville Literacy Project which conducted a survey of individuals,
businesses and organizations to assess the literacy needs in the community and
workplaces of Martensville.
The results of this survey helped us to develop a Community Literacy Plan.
This plan, along with the partnering of organizations that make up the
Martensville Interagency Committee, secured the Community Literacy Plan grant
to continue the Martensville Literacy Project.
The grant and space supplied by the Town of Martensville helped set up the
Martensville Community Access Centre where the project is housed.
The Community Access Centre is now funded through the Community Initiatives
Fund, local fundraising efforts, and local sponsorship and grants.
Martensville families welcomed approximately 183 babies into their homes 2011!
Martensville Business Expo 2012 will be held on April 27th & 28th.
We have collected over 16 000 volunteer hours from Martensville residents!! Hurray!! Have you volunteered lately? The Martensville Community Access Centre wants to know!! Please submit all of you volunteer hours.
